AKOS (Smart City Automation System)

AKOS (Smart City Automation System) is an IT project prepared to support the creation of a civilized city structure - based on laws, regulations and standards - in the e-Turkey process.

AKOS project aims to emphasize transparent, participatory and productive municipalism that integrates with the citizens; identifies citizens' requests, existing and potential problems on time and on site; determines priorities with objective criteria; reduces bureaucracy and ensures public participation in the production of solutions.

What is AKOS?

AKOS platform includes Turkey's most advanced modern urban information system software. The platform aims to ensure that municipalities and public institutions provide all economic, social, cultural and administrative services to citizens in the best way possible by collecting information on the city and its citizens in accordance with certain methods and standards, meticulously transferring them to a secure database, determining and managing the relationships between data in parallel with municipal processes and needs, and conducting accurate analysis.

AKOS project is a project that integrates with the citizens, identifies citizens' requests, current and potential problems in a timely and appropriate manner, determines priorities with objective criteria, reduces bureaucracy, ensures public participation in the production of solutions, and emphasizes transparent, participatory and productive municipalism.

SAMPAŞ has been deemed worthy of more than 30 awards so far with its modern urban information system applications realized within the framework of AKOS project.
